Young people should be empowered to address the systemic inequities they face.
The Next Generation Leaders Fellowship is a unique 9-week summer program designed to train and empower students to be leaders in the survivor justice and anti-campus sexual violence movement. Next Generation Leaders Fellows build skills needed to lead grassroots, legislative advocacy movements. You will learn how to:
Draft and file legislation that supports student-survivors in your state
Create relationships and mentorships with state legislators
Build a movement of student supporters and activists to engage in advocacy mobilizations
Cultivate leadership skills through hands-on practice
Gain media skills by using social media, earned media, and written media to build your state movement
We know NGLF works: all 12 states with an Every Voice Law have been championed by Next Generation Leaders Fellows.

We encourage and empower survivors and students who have been pushed to the margins and impacted personally by sexual violence to apply. Sexual violence disproportionately impacts those with marginalized and intersecting identities: Black students, Indigenous students, first-generation students, low-income students, LGBTQ+ students, non-binary students, trans students, students with disabilities, women, and all marginalized students experience sexual violence disproportionately. Addressing sexual violence within colleges and universities means addressing systemic issues that silence, betray, and push out students — and in turn, elevating those who have been most impacted.

Lizzy
2020 FELLOW, ILLINOIS
“The Every Voice Coalition has given me the space to see that I am capable of doing such great things. When I first started in the NGLF in 2020, there's no way that I could have seen how much I would grow into myself and into advocacy as a whole. Everything that we have been working on -- the bills enacted into law, the knowledge-sharing, the community -- will outlast our tenure and that is something to be proud of.”
-

Pipa
2021 FELLOW, VIRGINIA
“I am forever grateful for the joy, empowerment, and community that The Every Voice Coalition has given me. It is an honor to work alongside so many other student activists who are on this mission to end the epidemic of sexual violence on college campuses.”
-

Ari
EVERY VOICE PENNSYLVANIA FOUNDER
“Working for Every Voice has shown me that I am strong, capable, and have the power to make change. From meeting with state representatives to mentoring new members of our team… [I have had the opportunity] to grow my leadership and communication skills.”
-

CT
2020 FELLOW, ILLINOIS
“The biggest accomplishment I achieved with NGLF was finding my inner voice. I have always been told my voice didn’t matter and I was too young to have a say. I am beyond grateful NGLF gave me the courage and space to learn that my voice did matter, my voice was powerful, and I deserved to be heard!”
-

Anabelle
2022 FELLOW, VERMONT
“The fellowship created a space where I truly felt like I could evolve as a leader in whatever way I envisioned it and had the capacity for. I gained invaluable skills that will support me in how I show up to organizing and advocacy spaces and any other life endeavors. So much gratitude to all of the people who made this opportunity for growth, learning, and collaboration possible!”
-

Caroline

-

Kelly
DC STATE DIRECTOR
“My experience with EVC exposes me to the realistic side of grassroots advocacy and policy making. More importantly, it instills within me a more powerful faith in the value of law, and the possibility of becoming a future lawyer and change maker.”
-

Ivy
CO-FOUNDER, ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
“My time with EVC taught me how to make change in a way that I had never thought was accessible. I learned not only how much we are shaped by law, but also how we can do the shaping. EVC opened my eyes to new ways to enact widespread change, to help others, and to a part of myself I didn't know existed. It made me want to go to law school.”
-

Andrew
2020 FELLOW, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
“NGLF is what made me fall in love with organizing. Seeing our work actually transform into tangible change was something I had never experienced before, and still, I just can’t get enough. I have no idea where I would be without the support of the Every Voice community.”
